The AHA recommended that patients with OHCA in whom the initial cardiac rhythm is VF or OHCA with ST-segment elevation be transported directly to centers with expertise and facilities in the management of acute coronary syndromes.
ILCOR guidelines recommend using hypothermia after cardiac arrest if the initial rhythm is VT or VF and consideration of its use for other rhythm disturbances.
